My name is Lenka Korbelová and I am an experienced Czech teacher who specializes in teaching Czech language to foreigners. I use modern and interactive teaching methods that are focused on practical application of language in everyday situations. My lessons are not only full of fun, but they are also effective in order to help you master  Czech language quickly and easily. Our lessons can take place online or in your chosen venue. I can speak English and Spanish. Our first 30 minute introduction class is for free.

Contractual conditions

Good accounting makes good friends.

In order for our lessons to take place in peace and comfort, it is necessary to set clear rules for both parties. Please read the following terms and conditions that govern my work. Teaching is my job and my livelihood, so I have to take it seriously and protect myself from any possible hardship, misunderstanding or loss. I am glad you respect that.

STUDENT'S SIX POINTS OF FAIR CONDUCT

1) The student commits to attending lessons punctually. For online sessions, the student will log into the teaching application at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start, prepare necessary materials, and switch his/her phone to silent mode.

2) Student's regular attendance is expected in order to ensure student's progress in learning, with exceptions accepted only in unavoidable circumstances such as sudden health issues or during planned vacations.

3) In case of an anticipated absence from class, the student agrees to provide prompt notification at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.

4) Classes take place in the form of prepaid lessons according to the number of lessons expected in the upcoming month with payment due by the last day of the preceding month, i.e. the 30th or 31st (in February by the 28th or 29th). E.g. if the lessons take place regularly every Wednesday and there are 4 working Wednesdays in the upcoming month, e.g. April, the student will pay for the 4 lessons no later than the last day of March, that means the payment will be credited to the lecturer's account on March 31st. Failure to fulfill payment by this deadline may result in unavailability of lessons for the following month.

5) The student is aware that the provision of language lessons is the lecturer's livelihood, and frequent cancellations result in a significant financial loss, which is unsustainable in the long term. Therefore, if the student does not attend half of the monthly lessons or half of the lessons in the last three months without valid health reasons, the lecturer reserves the right to terminate the teaching completely without refunding paid fees.

6) The student agrees to excuse themselves from in-person classes if suffering from a severe cold or from another contagious disease.

LECTURER'S SIX POINTS OF FAIR CONDUCT

1) The lecturer commits to starting and finishing the contracted lessons at the agreed-upon time.

2) The lecturer commits to delivering lessons consistently as scheduled and undertakes not to cancel classes except in essential situations, such as unforeseen health issues or during pre-planned vacation periods.

3) The lecturer will provide timely notice of planned absences, at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.

4) Should the lecturer cancel a class within 24 hours of its start, the student will not incur charges for the next lesson.

5) The lecturer undertakes to cancel the face-to-face class whenever he has a severe cold or suffers from another contagious disease.

7) The lecturer undertakes to be properly prepared for each lesson so that her students can benefit from the lessons as much as possible.

Every individual student or other legal entity who, with effect from 1st January 2024, will participate in language lessons led by Mgr. Lenka Korbelová, undertakes to comply with these conditions, and is aware of the above-mentioned consequences in the event of their violation.
